Prayer is a flow of the heart heavenward. It is the heartfelt prayer that avails.
“The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” (James 5:16 AMP)
From the heart. Felt.
If you are not feeling your prayers then something is clogging your spiritual arteries. Prayer is an engagement with the most emotionally charged Being in the universe; a heart-to-heart with the Almighty Creator, the One who is Himself, Love.
This is why, when we truly pray, our whole being is involved. This, friends, is how prayer becomes a joy not an encumbrance. The very idea that fellowshipping with Papa is a dry, dutiful, dreary and fruitless burden is a hellish doctrine espoused by satan to keep God’s people from sending flaming arrows through his duplicitous heart.
Jesus has not called you to throw weak petitions at a brass ceiling, He has opened the very veil of heaven’s storehouses and invited you up to take your fill. Nothing is impossible to the man or woman who leans on and learns from the Master.
Regardless of what you may have witnessed, there is a place ablaze with the life of God waiting for your presence. It’s name is fervency!
Fervency is the fire that ascends from your spirit to the heavens. It’s heat will carry your petitions like burning incense to the nostrils of your Father, demanding a speedy response.
Consider Jesus encouraging words for a moment:
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:24 KJV)
Your prayers should flame from the hearth of desire within your heart. To desire means to crave, to call for, to require as your absolute necessity. Such petitions are not take-or-leave, they are do-or-die. Such requests are the territory of wrestling Jacobs refusing to let go until the blessing is bestowed.
Such is Christian prayer! Such is the prayer that the Spirit will stir in you if only you will yield to His mighty movements within you.
God is moved when we are moved!
If our prayers do not even move us here in the natural, how can we expect them to ever impact the spiritual world.
Mighty moves of God begin with mighty movements of the heart
Mighty moves of God begin with mighty movements of the believer’s heart as he or she reaches heavenward with earnest, unceasing petition.
At no other time in history have the nations had greater need of a fresh wave of God’s visitation, but first there must be a fresh fire in the heart of God’s children. Sit no longer in the arms of comfort. Disengage yourself from the sleepy tentacles of political correctness, and cry for mercy.
Let your voice be lifted high and loud, in expectation of heaven’s answer.
Before the nation is blessed with waves of reformation, first must come crashing breakers of revival in the house of God. Men and women swept up in swelling concerts of passionate prayer. Flooding hearts in confluence before the throne of grace, craving mercy over judgement.
Send your fire to our heart, Holy Spirit, and then your rain upon the fields so white to harvest!
